WELCOME TO THE DARLIN' FAMILY!
We're all about family, cupcakes, and southern hospitality!
You’re probably here for the cupcakes...but we think y’all should meet the family first. After all, you can get cupcakes anywhere. While our cupcakes are always fresh and delicious, the family is a big part of what makes our business so special.
The Darlin’s are a military family of four. Mr. Darlin’ and Mrs. Darlin’ met way back in 1988 in Middle Tennessee. Then, in 1997, there was a pretty great prom experience. (If you come to the house, ask to see the picture. It hangs up on the mantle and it is worth seeing…if you need a laugh.) The rest is a whole lot of life, history, fun, and love.
D and d Darlin’ are the spunky, special, goodhearted children! They are the ones that provide you with LITTLE DARLIN' dog treats and all the hugs you want! The last member of the Darlin’ family is Doggy Darlin’. She’s an 11-year-old lab that is good for a door greeting and a hand/paw shake.
When you order from Dolce Darlin’, you are ALWAYS treated like family. That is a PROMISE. Have fun looking around the site. If you have any trouble finding what you need, hit 'Holler At Us!' and you'll see a bunch of ways to get in touch. Pick your favorite.
HOW WE STARTED THIS ADVENTURE!
The military life has allowed us to travel all over the world, for which we will forever be grateful! We've been into 17 countries...and counting. Folks often ask how this whole cupcake adventure got started. Our last duty station was Vicenza, Italy. We got to spend three beautiful years there. Mrs. Darlin' wanted to make sure that the family learned the language of our host country so she attended university Italian classes. While in class, an American friend asked her if she'd provide cupcakes for a child's birthday party. Mrs. Darlin' is never one to say no to someone who needs food so she sent some cupcakes over. From that party, there was another request for cupcakes. Then another. Then many more. Just like that, Dolce Darlin' was born. Our pink boxes became well known through our community and could be found at PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel) meetings, church events, USO events, sporting events, and lots of other places. It was such a joy to make cupcakes for that community. Their support through the birth of this company was crucial to its success and we will never forget our time there or the people that helped to make this dream come true!
